It feels as though everything has ended prematurely. That even though we know that
our JC career has not come to an end yet, it undeniably feels that way. With everything
that's been going on, from Honours to Baccalaureate, these events have indicated to me
that as we enter into school leave, we will have to leave behind our days of insouciant glee,
and take on a task that we can only hope we are able to handle.

Today, I walked into school with a different feeling on my shoulders, not thinking about
the languorous lessons to be had, but thinking about the truly memorable lessons we've had.
All in a split second,the shades of grey hit me so hard, I was utterly unable to comprehend
the situation. As every stride took me toward the hall that I had sat in without placing a
thought to for nearly 2 years, I felt a conflicting influx of emotions. Dreading the thought
of having to sit in the hall and admit the fact that as time carries us onwards,
we will
be powerless and we will have to lose touch with the days when we were college students.
And
also, bringing with me the gathering anticipation of seeing my classmates again, even
though
I had seen them for almost everyday for the past 600 over days.Everything felt so
different,
yet it was cast with the same picture perfect background.When we look back, being
17 and 18 will seem like a golden memory, one we will defend with fierce loyalty,
because
it has in fact been 2 wonderful years of my life.
Telling myself otherwise would be a lie, no matter how much I bellyached about hating
the system, disliking some people, having
to contend with so many pitfalls, this speckled show of 'awesome moments' will not
serve
to taint the precious memories I have been so privileged to attain.

Dear 2AD2.Man have we been through our fair share of upsets and battles. And
from
the evidence of today, i'd say we've triumphed over our upsets and won our battles.
Everything that has happened today felt different to me, which kind of made me feel like
an over-emotional old lady,
but I couldn't help it. I shall take a step back and remember the
chapel service we had on monday, it would have seemed the typical chapel to our
less sentimental pals,
but to some of us, we couldn't help but feel touched. Was it the subject matter or was it
merely the fact that it was the last chapel?
Every speech that spoke of bonds
and friendship made me appreciate my classmates more and more, you're all unique and
special. Without these awe-inspiring, comical, selfless people,
how could I have pulled
through the tough times, or even managed to achieve the good times? I knew for sure
today,
for the first time, I wouldn't trade my JC experience for anything in the world. I can say
for
sure, I love my friends, and I say it not with any tinge of being unsure, because I know
who
my friends are, because they have been unfailingly by my side.
To people who know that a simple 'i'm so glad to have known you' has such an
impact
on me, moving me to tears, i'm
so grateful. For people who take such joy in recounting incidents and events that
they hold
dear to them, i'm so grateful. I don't know how to say it to them, but I have
gained
so much from them because they have simply been themselves.

I'd like all of you guys to know how much you mean to me. Elaine, Bernie,
Isabelle, Dhania, Sarah, Pey,
Sheiting, Annette, Wen, Mel, Navin, Tzehow,
Yinxiang,
Alex, Colin, Shaun, Daryl and Preetham (last but definitely not least!).
All special in
your own ways, all wonderful in many aspects, it's been an absolute blast.

When the service and all the picture taking was over, we (elaine, sheiting, annette, tzehow,
alex, yinxiang, daryl and I) headed to westmall for lunch then to yinxiang's house. It was
really fun, and was the 'class outing' where the most people went. I don't know, the
nothingness of this outing was...comforting, because by not acknowledging that anything
has ended, perhaps, nothing has. The ending of the JC career merely marks the departure
from the school, not the people. Sad as leaving this school may be, at least the friendships
will endure.As we sang the school anthem for the last time, I saw so many of us moved to
tears, as everything hung in a state of surrealism, we were bound together by our emotions.
As we all sang the anthem, perhaps for the first time, we all showed how we truly felt, and
let the pretence fall away.

My dear friends, we've walked hand in hand every step of the way, together we'll brave the road ahead.

Love you guys! Study hard for the A's!

have u ever had a dream.. so bizarre and convoluted but remembered with such clarity?

here goes...

it was the battle of all battles and our forces were gathering our troops on a hilly plain. we stood above our enemies, a strategic advantage as we looked upon them, grouped in the lower valley in their uniform straight rows. clad in our military fatigues of blue and yellow, we sneered at what seemed from our height vantage like 'termites' that we would soon crush with our mighty strenth...........................................................................AC forces against RJ.

(why i would dream up such a fiasco i cannot yet fathom)

i digress. ahem.

so.. much like the battle at helm's deep, we waited for our enemies to consolidate. the strategy was for the 'women' to stand in front, demonstating our disdain for their paltry strength. (i was sandwiched between sam and belle btw).

Soon we heard their war cries ( not unlike the orcs in the lord of the rings) and then silence fell.

gallant yin xiang on my right (pumped full of adrenaline and demonstrating unquestionable bravado, false or not i do not know) shouted to a deserter who had joined the ranks of our nemesis "NICK HUANG YOU BASTARD!" with a resounding voice.

from the wilderness that echoed around us came the reply from below.................... "SHUDDAP LA" (said nick). much to our chagrin, our chivalrous knight made the greates faux pas of war history and said resoundingly.."HUH" ---------------------------------------------------

(yes yes.. groan groan groan) AND THEN!.. THE BATTLE BEGAN as the women retreated and the men ran forth with hoots and shrill cries.

the orcs.. the orcs.. shall die. (and then the alarm clock rings- its 6.14 am)

ok as u can imagine, i woke up wanting to slap myself but then quickly changing my mind.. deciding yin xiang should be slapped instead.

yx: your ridiculous antics plague my subconcious. "OH.. LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE YOU'VE MADE A FOOL OF EVERYONE" hurhur.

hey guys...just wanna say that for those like me who are feeling down
abt their prelims results and didnt meet their expectations...pls don't
despair or give up hope...at least we know we've got alot of catching up
to do...so just give it your best shot for these remaining 7 weeks..don't
let the results put you down...and for those who did well...congratulations
to you all...hahaha...damn...it sucks to see the results turning out liddat

guys... so we all got back our results.... some of us might be disappointed by it or
by the fact that we didnt put in our best but lets look at it this way... we shall
not look back on the prelims anymore cos we cant change the grades but
work as hard as we can towards the As.... i wana think that we can help
each other through this time.... the most crucial of all.... lets do it as a class..
ayedeetwo.. study together and make it through together... i think with each
other we can achieve greater heights... right???????

i think my estate is going nuts, and that includes me (singing and talking to my art project).

yesterday i saw a nun with nun garb and monk bag and all, walking down the pavement with an umbrella. she was opening and closing it and then twirling it around like some primary school chinese dance item. she looked delirious.

today i saw an ahneh woman jogging past my house in a sari. and because of the way a sari is wrapped around the body, she couldn't really take big strides; she was just hobbling along. and looking very exhausted. at least she was wearing proper running shoes.

i wonder what loonies shall abound in class when we get back on monday...

hey guys..how've the holidays been? haven't spoken to quite a few of you since they've started...hope everything's going great..
Anyway...Guess what, i have 2 dogs...haha.my brother found puppies in his camp and took two of them home.they aren't even bigger than my old rabbit..they're adorable, they poop, sleep and slip on their pee, what's not to like.haha.Like outta the blue, 2 little puppies have been dropped on my life...well i'm so happy, although they don't seem to sleep at night...heh...see you all soon!

i had a satisfying last couple of days. these breakthroughs to the wonders of kbox, chinese songs and mambo jambo will definitely have revolutionary impacts on my life x) after spending 4 solid hrs with a couple of classmates with whom i spend so much curriculum time with and yet none outside of the classrm in the tiny kbox rm, i can honestly tell u i enjoyed that demi-class outing.

yet something else in addition to today has led me to ponder the general quality of friendships formed in jc. yes, we sit sing laugh play and kid ard with each other but such relationships are (after much consideration) ephemeral in nature. i for one, can count the number of unadulterated honest friendships ive made on one hand.

but i assure u, this scenario is not exclusive to the likes of our beloved acjc. but it is truly rife and rampant. so then, i ask, wherefore effusive diatribes and bitter castigations? is there even a necessity to take each other so seriously? (after all, everyone operates uniquely.) Live and Let Live. There is no need for insinuation and disparaging remarks in an already competitive and strained atmosphere. eveything if taken with a pinch of salt will be less caustic and vexatious to the spirit.

unrestrained effrontery- its pointless! wilde said something like "Life is too important to be taken seriously" so let sleeping dogs lie for heavens sake so that WE, can all rest in peace.

Dear twoayedeetoo. jc life may be all about competition but let this not prevent us from taking a step back to realise that we are all working towards a common aim. the most important thing is that our teenage years spent in ac should be happy ones ( i know i wouldnt wanna be anywhere else) so lets just enjoy it while it lasts.

(diving is freaking boring) so i ended up cabbing it down to my friends hse after she came back from liquid room at ard 4 am. ugh i wish i had been there at liquid with edgar all..shiokadokes. prelims are really clouds raining down on me. anywayssss right now this is like the perrrrfect song for me
